Stop running apps and run outside!Do you have the buzz about smartphones? People who most use their cells have lower fitness levels than those the they less often, according to a new report by the Kent State University use. But before you read that as "Cell phones make thick", make sure that you know all the details.
The data were collected, 49 college students who almost 7 hours phone cell use every day on average. That's right: 7 hours a day! Both male and female students on average just over 5 calls per day, and men 133 texts sent, sent while the women 305.
These two sounds familiar (hope you enjoys the University!), or it sounds completely Ridiciulous (welcome to the real world, working stiff!).
No matter it is the link to the fitness level to reduce: those who used the phone most had more body fat percentages, and scored lower on tests of aerobic capacity. "We found that call came, was fitness." And vice versa, "says study author Jacob Barkley, Ph.d..
Of course is this correlation also people, spend much time watching TV, playing video games and surfing the Internet. You can do all that now on your mobile phone.
Interestingly, when researchers students in low, medium and high frequency users categorized, on average the "low-use" Group about 90 minutes cell phone activity per day, while the high-use Group a whopping 14 hours logged on.
We are pretty sure that is 14 hours - and heck, maybe even 90 minutes - much more time than any person should a phone for entertainment on an average day use. (And also, what is with battery power?)
The heaviest mobile users admitted that their devices often disturb their physical activity with sedentary activities such as games, to check SMS, Facebook and Twitter and playing with new apps. You don't say!
The bottom line: The results of the study probably closely not apply for those of us, full-time jobs, family responsibilities, or well, have serious ambition. Because where do we find the time for everything, what Smartphone fun? But this much is clear: If this study definition of a user to qualify, heavy mobile don't you be surprised if you are a heavy mobile phone users.
